PropertyWorld is proud to be lead sponsor of this year’s Penge Festival, which gets underway this weekend and runs from Saturday 6th June to Saturday 27th June.The much-loved community festival brings together local people, businesses and organisations for a packed programme of events celebrating everything that makes Penge such a vibrant place to live, work and visit.
The festival begins with the Penge Festival Fete on Saturday 6 June at Royston Field, running from 11am to 5pm. Visitors can look forward to a lively day of local stalls, entertainment and community spirit as the festival officially kicks off.
Other highlights include the Penge Traders’ Quiz at The Bridge House on Friday 12 June, raising money for the restoration of Penge’s red granite Victorian water fountain, and a talk by the Penge History Group on Tuesday 16 June at Southey Brewery, where residents can hear more about the campaign to bring the historic fountain back to life.
On Saturday 20 June, the Penge Green Gala at Penge East Community Centre will showcase flowers, plants, produce, artwork, photography and creative ideas for making Penge greener and more sustainable. The event will also feature cream teas, cakes, vegan options and activities for all ages.
Families can also enjoy the Jobs Plus Family Fun Day on Sunday 21 June at Penge Recreation Ground, with sports coaching, games and confidence-building activities for children and young people.
